Major Road and Infrastructure Projects Transform Spring-Klein’s Commute

Harris County Precinct 3 has launched a comprehensive slate of road projects ranging from new traffic signals to major pavement rehabilitation. At the busy intersection of Gosling Road and West Rayford, crews are adding a dedicated right-turn lane and replacing aging signals to ease bottlenecks. Farther west on Hufsmith Road, turn lanes are being widened and a signal installed, a $1.1 million investment aimed at keeping drivers safe and traffic moving.

The largest improvements involve resurfacing and expanding two of the area’s busiest corridors. A $6.5 million project is replacing asphalt on Spring Cypress Road from Louetta to Holzwarth and on Louetta Road from Spring Cypress to Stuebner Airline Road, with work underway since March 2026. Spring Stuebner Road is being widened to four lanes at a cost of $8.1 million, with completion slated for the second quarter of 2026. These upgrades come alongside pavement repairs in historic Old Town Spring, where new surfaces and improved drainage will give the district’s businesses and visitors a smoother experience.
